This page explains how Neobleu handles requests from police, courts and regulators, and what we publish about them. Neobleu is operated by Ryujin Group [ABN placeholder], an Australian company.
Valid legal process
We disclose information about a person only when we receive valid legal process, such as:
- an Australian warrant, court order, subpoena or notice issued under Australian law
- a request from another country made through a mutual legal assistance treaty (MLAT) or another process that Australian law recognises
We check every request. We push back on requests that are too broad, unclear or not properly made, and we give only what the request legally requires.
We can't disclose the content of private messages without the right legal process.
Telling you about a request
We tell you before we disclose your information, so you have a chance to object. We won't tell you if the law or a court order prohibits it, or if telling you would put someone at risk or undermine an emergency response. When a ban on telling you ends, we let you know then.
Emergencies
If we believe in good faith that someone faces an imminent risk of death or serious harm, we may disclose information to the authorities without legal process, limited to what's needed to prevent the harm. We record and review every emergency disclosure.
If you know of an emergency, contact local emergency services first (000 in Australia).
Preserving records
Law enforcement can ask us to preserve specific records while they obtain legal process. We preserve them for 90 days, and for another 90 days if the request is renewed. We disclose preserved records only once we receive valid legal process.
